MRO Buyer

Our client, Manufacturing & Maintenance (MRO) is seeking a MRO Buyer to join their team. As a MRO Buyer, you will be part of the Procurement team supporting day-to-day maintenance, repair, and operations needs. The ideal candidate will have strong purchasing discipline, a hands-on approach to supplier coordination, and the drive to keep inventory accurate and on track—which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Support Autostacker spare parts requirements by sourcing, tracking, and coordinating orders to keep critical equipment running.
• Review and help manage min/max inventory levels to maintain appropriate stock for MRO needs and avoid production or maintenance delays.
• Assist with establishing programs for consumable items, helping improve availability and purchasing consistency.
• Handle a variety of MRO purchasing and project needs, including materials, supplies, services, janitorial supplies, office supplies, equipment, spare parts, and PPE.
• Serve as backup support for the Stockroom Clerk and Warehouse Operator as needed to ensure smooth operations.

What's Needed?

• Solid purchasing experience, preferably with a background buying mechanical and electrical items and MRO supplies.
• Minimum 2 years’ procurement experience (or a Bachelor’s degree) with a strong understanding of negotiations.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds multiple times per day; able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6 hours/day) and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing stairs.
• Forklift certification or ability to be certified, plus excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What's the Job?

• Apoyar los requerimientos de refacciones para Autostacker, gestionando compras, seguimiento y coordinación de pedidos para mantener el equipo crítico en funcionamiento.
• Revisar y ayudar a administrar niveles de inventario mínimo/máximo (min/max) para mantener existencias adecuadas para necesidades MRO y evitar retrasos en mantenimiento o producción.
• Apoyar el establecimiento de programas para artículos de consumo, contribuyendo a mejorar la disponibilidad y la consistencia de compras.
• Gestionar diversas necesidades de compras MRO y proyectos, incluyendo materiales, suministros, servicios, suministros de limpieza, suministros de oficina, equipo, refacciones y EPP (equipo de protección personal).
• Brindar apoyo como respaldo para Stockroom Clerk y Warehouse Operator cuando sea necesario, para asegurar la continuidad operativa.

What's Needed?

• Experiencia sólida en compras, preferentemente con antecedentes comprando artículos mecánicos y eléctricos y suministros MRO.
• Experiencia mínima de 2 años en compras/procurement (o licenciatura), con comprensión sólida de negociaciones.
• Experiencia con sistemas ERP/MRP y habilidades informáticas sólidas en Microsoft Office.
• Capacidad para levantar y cargar hasta 35 libras varias veces al día; estar de pie y caminar durante periodos prolongados (hasta 6 horas al día) y realizar tareas físicas como subir escaleras, agacharse, estirarse y subir/bajar escaleras.
• Certificación de montacargas o capacidad para certificarse, además de excelentes habilidades de comunicación escrita y verbal.
