EHS Specialist

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs that ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and local regulations while fostering a strong culture of safety throughout the facility.

Location:  Ridgeland, SC

Pay Range:  28.85

Some Responsibilities Include...

• Facilitate productive discussions between employees and management regarding safe work practices.
• Develop and implement safety outreach, awareness, and education programs.
• Gather employee feedback and recommendations regarding safety procedures and workplace improvements.
• Identify opportunities to reduce workplace injuries, accidents, and occupational health risks.
• Conduct and facilitate employee safety training programs.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable state safety regulations.
• Familiarity with workplace safety programs and environmental compliance requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Strong presentation and public speaking abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to effectively conduct employee training programs.

Education & Experience

• Associate Degree preferred in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment required.
• Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and employee training preferred.
