About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Technician to support laboratory testing, data collection, and research activities. In this role, you will conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials. Your work will contribute to product development, quality control initiatives, environmental compliance, and scientific research. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical and physical laboratory testing according to established procedures and protocols.
- Receive, label, prepare, and analyze samples.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Perform experiments under defined conditions and accurately document observations and results.
- Analyze test results and communicate findings to laboratory leadership.
- Record data and results in both electronic and paper-based systems.
- Organize and store chemicals, substances, and compressed gases according to safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering laboratory supplies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
- Follow all laboratory safety practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Utilize barcode scanners and computerized systems to track samples and data.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within laboratory operations.
- Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline and/or equivalent laboratory experience.
- Strong understanding of laboratory testing procedures and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Ability to independently perform data entry from multiple sources with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret results and accurately report data sets.
- Experience following scientific laboratory SOPs.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety behaviors and techniques.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite, including:
- Excel
- Outlook
- PowerPoint
- Word
- Data entry and documentation experience.
- Experience using barcode scanners.
- Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment, materials, and testing methodologies.
- Hands-on laboratory experience
