Location: Elk River, MN

Pay Rate: $21.60 - $23.15 per hour (based on experience)

Employment Type: Contingent with potential pathway for hire

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

As a Phlebotomist I, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive quality laboratory services while creating a positive and supportive experience. This position combines specimen collection, point-of-care testing support, and customer service in a collaborative healthcare environment that directly impacts patient care.

What You'll Do

  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection procedures following established protocols and quality standards
  • Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing while maintaining specimen integrity
  • Support point-of-care waived testing activities as needed
  • Accurately maintain patient records, documentation, and required paperwork
  • Provide exceptional customer service while creating a comfortable experience for patients
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment
  • Follow all safety, quality, and compliance requirements

What We're Looking For

  • A current, up-to-date resume
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience required
  • Pediatric phlebotomy experience required
  • Strong specimen collection skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred
  • Strong keyboarding and data entry skills
  • Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet compliance requirements including immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and TB Test required; COVID and Flu vaccinations strongly recommended)
