Location: Gurnee, IL
Pay Rate: $25/hr
Employment Type: Contingent with potential pathway for hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm with rotating Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm

What You'll Do

  • Collect high-quality blood specimens through venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
  • Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
  • Verify patient demographics and ensure accurate specimen labeling in the patient's presence
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation while adhering to established protocols
  • Provide exceptional customer service and create a safe, professional environment for patients
  • Support multiple patient service center and physician office locations as needed
  • Perform daily activities accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Independently close the site at the end of the day, including working the final hour alone while maintaining quality and customer service standards

What We're Looking For

  • A current, up-to-date resume
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Willing to train the right bilingual Spanish-speaking candidate with at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of Patient Service Center experience preferred
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Keyboard and data entry experience
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between locations as needed
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record, if applicable
  • Ability to work independently while closing the site and managing patient flow during the final hour of operation
  • Ability to meet compliance requirements
