Facilities Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the facilities management sector, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the operational excellence of their Kansas City campus. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Facilities Technician

Location: Kansas City, MO

Pay Range: $27-29/hr

Shift: Day shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

What's the Job?

• Perform general maintenance tasks including building repairs, light plumbing, carpentry, and electrical support.
• Support HVAC systems through troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and assisting HVAC technicians.
• Conduct routine inspections and report on conditions affecting facility operations and safety.
• Assist with setting up conference rooms and supporting event logistics as needed.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed, maintain good housekeeping, and handle hazardous materials responsibly.

What's Needed?

• At least 1 year of experience in building repair and maintenance in a commercial environment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC troubleshooting.
• Experience using a volt meter and performing preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 ft as required.
• EPA Universal certification is preferred.
