Maintenance Technician - Overnight Shift

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Pay Rate: Approximately $30.00/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our overnight operations team. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and general upkeep of automated car wash equipment, vacuum systems, lighting systems, and facility equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities and be comfortable working independently during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on automatic car wash systems and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues affecting car wash operations.
• Service and maintain industrial vacuum systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility lighting systems, including fixtures, ballasts, switches, and controls.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Replace worn or damaged components, including motors, pumps, belts, bearings, relays, sensors, and control devices.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and inventory of parts and supplies.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and OSHA standards.
• Assist with facility improvements, equipment installations, and special maintenance projects as needed.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, automotive service, car wash, or facility maintenance environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Basic electrical knowledge, including understanding of motors, controls, relays, and wiring.
• Experience working with pumps, motors, conveyors, vacuum systems, or automated equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment diagrams.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work overnight hours consistently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining automated car wash equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
• Industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical certifications are a plus.
• Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment is beneficial but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment and cleaning chemicals.
