Maintenance & Utilities Assistant

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance & Utilities Assistant to join their team. As a Maintenance & Utilities Assistant, you will be an integral part of the Maintenance Department supporting daily operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of essential equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance & Utilities Assistant

Location: Saugerties, NY

Pay Range: $20 - $22 per hour

Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM with overtime on Fridays as needed

What's the Job?

• Maintain the central coolant system, including cleaning drain lines, pipes, and pits to ensure optimal operation.
• Assist in keeping the shop floor clean and organized, including mopping and general tidying.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance such as mowing, snow shoveling, salting, trimming, painting, and plumbing tasks.
• Maintain and clean all tools and equipment used during daily operations.
• Follow all safety protocols, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and quality standards to ensure a safe working environment.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.  
• Basic understanding of mechanical equipment and maintenance practices.
• Ability to use small hand tools and operate power mowing equipment.
• Good working knowledge of basic math.
• Physical ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting tasks.
