Industrial Mechanic

Our client, Industrial manufacturing is seeking an Industrial Mechanic to join their team. As an Industrial Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Industrial Mechanic

Location: Alachua, FL

Pay Range: 28-38 depending on experience

Shift: M-F 8am-5pm

What's the Job?

• Coordinate daily and planned maintenance activities to ensure smooth operations.
• Develop and assist in creating maintenance policies and procedures for safe and efficient operations.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general plant systems.
• Install, maintain, and upgrade equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Contribute to safety programs and maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong welding, rigging, and electrical experience, including basic PLC troubleshooting.
• Certification in welding and as a forklift operator required.
• Knowledge of mechanical components, equipment, and trade fundamentals.
• Ability to work in elevated locations and confined spaces, with physical capability for heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
