Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a manufacturing industry leader, is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.  This is a Direct Hire opportunity with benefits.

Job Title: 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic (Direct Hire)
Location: Melrose Park, IL
Pay Range: $38.68 plus $5K Sign-On Bonus
Shift: 2nd Shift (2pm-10pm) Monday - Friday 

What's the Job?

• Maintain and repair machinery components including shafts, bearings, gears, and other mechanical parts.
• Install and service pipe systems, hydraulics, steam systems, and pneumatic equipment.
• Support building maintenance tasks such as plumbing, welding, and general facility upkeep.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment like extruders, mixers, conveyors, and metal detectors.
• Complete work orders and support preventative maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency.

What's Needed?

• Hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, steam systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read, interpret, and complete work orders, maintenance instructions, and safety procedures.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work 2nd shift and respond to maintenance needs in a fast-paced environment.
