Maintenance Tech

Our client, in Aurora NE, a leading facilities and industrial services organization, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Engineering & Technical Services Department supporting the Facility Maintenance Team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a safety-focused mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Aurora, NE
Pay Range: 25.00 per hour DOE

What’s the Job?

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and building systems throughout a large production and warehouse facility.
• Troubleshoot and repair overhead doors, dock doors, lighting systems, and other facility equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections, diagnose equipment issues, and complete assigned work orders.
• Assist with fire life safety preventive maintenance, minor plumbing repairs, and light carpentry projects.
• Support facility operations by ensuring equipment and systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with safety regulations.

What’s Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade school training or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1-2+ years of maintenance experience with strong electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills, especially with overhead doors.
• Ability to work safely in an industrial environment, including climbing stairs, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and mobile applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a willingness to learn and work independently or as part of a team.
