Our client, a leading organization in the chemical manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Tech to join their team. As a Quality Control Tech, you will be supporting the Quality Assurance Department, working closely with production teams, laboratory staff, and management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to quality and safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: McCook, IL
Pay Range: $24-$28
Shift: 1st or 2nd
What's the Job?
- Conduct routine quality control inspections and tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products according to established protocols.
- Perform analytical testing using laboratory equipment such as chromatographs, viscometers, and titrators.
- Monitor and analyze process parameters to identify deviations and ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of test results, observations, and corrective actions, adhering to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformities, and customer complaints promptly, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality control or assurance within a regulated environment, preferably in chemical manufacturing.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), statistical process control (SPC), and industry standards such as ISO 9001, cGMP, REACH, and SDS.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
