Sanitation Worker

Our client, a local manufacturer, is seeking a Sanitation Worker to join their team. As a Sanitation Worker, you will be part of the Plant Operations team supporting production line cleanliness and food quality standards.

Job Title: Sanitation Worker

Location: Elk Rapids, MI

Pay Range: $18.50 per hour

Shift: 3:30pm- 12:00am Monday - Friday

What's the Job?

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain production equipment and the plant facility to meet quality and safety standards.
• Use high-pressure hoses and sanitation chemical agents to follow sanitation standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of the master cleaning schedule to verify sanitation completion.
• Work across departments with flexibility to support plant goals and daily production needs.
• Monitor work areas for potential safety hazards and respond efficiently to help prevent accidents.

What's Needed?

• Ability to listen to and understand spoken instructions and information.
• Pleasant, cooperative attitude and willingness to work well with others on the job.
• The ability to stand and walk throughout the shift. Ability to repeatedly bend, twist, and reach. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Clear communication (oral and written); some manufacturing environment experience is preferred but not required, and training will be provided for several shifts with an experienced employee.
