Our client, a local healthcare facility, is seeking a Cook to join their team. As a Cook, you will be part of the Food Service team supporting daily meal production for patients and special events. From the moment you step into the kitchen, you’ll bring steady focus, strong food safety habits, and a commitment to quality that helps the team deliver meals on time. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a team-first mindset that aligns successfully in the organization.

Location: Madison, WI

Pay Range: $19

Shift: 8 hours per shift (Thurs–Mon schedule: Thurs–Friday–Saturday–Sunday–Monday 5am–1:30pm; off Tues/Wed) & (Friday, Saturday, Sunday Monday Tuesday 11a-7:30pm Off Wed/Thurs)

What's the Job?

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for multiple meal periods, including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
• Follow established production and presentation standards to support consistent meal service throughout the day.
• Work with the team to maintain smooth kitchen operations during high-volume meal periods.
• Support safe food handling practices while preparing and serving meals for hospital settings.
• Contribute to a clean, organized work area by following site procedures and maintaining proper kitchen readiness.

What's Needed?

• Ability to prepare and portion food items accurately and efficiently for multiple meal periods.
• Comfort working in a hospital food service environment with consistent standards and timelines.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure meals are prepared and presented correctly.
• Ability to follow food safety and sanitation expectations while working in a production kitchen.
• Willingness to meet onboarding requirements, including Rapid 10 Panel titers and proof of required immunizations.
