CNC Machinist

Our client in the medical device manufacturing space is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be part of the manufacturing operation supporting the production of high-quality, tight-tolerance medical implant components and sub-assemblies. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC machining experience, a solid understanding of quality and measurement, and the drive to produce consistent parts in a fast-paced medical manufacturing environment.

Job Title: CNC Machinist

Location: Coon Rapids, MN

Pay Range: $25.14/hour - $47.60/hour

Shift: 1st (Mon - Th; 5:00AM - 3:00PM), 2nd (Mon - Th; 3:00PM - 1:30AM), 4th (Fri - Sun; 5:00AM - 5:00PM - would be paid for 40 hours/week)

What's the Job?

• Operate CNC Mill, EDM, Lathe, and/or Swiss machines to produce medical components and devices
• Revise code & optimize on Star SW-20’s, SV 38r’s, ST 38rs, Citizen L20, And M32s
• Perform quality inspection on completed parts to ensure they meet tight tolerances
• Complete tool changes and support smooth, accurate machine operation
• Perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines to help ensure consistent performance
• Read and interpret blueprints and use measurement tools to verify part accuracy

What's Needed?

• 5 Years' Experience of Operator experience with CNC Mill, EDM, Lathe, and/or Swiss machines
• Strong math background, preferably with machine math/shop math
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience using a microscope and measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and pressure micrometers
