Coating Machine Operator

Location: Worcester, MA
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour

We are seeking a Coating Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating coating and laminating equipment used to process film products according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, quality-focused, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment.

Schedule

• Training will likely take place on first shift.
• Regular schedule: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
• A 10% shift differential is automatically applied when working second shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate coating and laminating equipment according to production requirements.
• Load raw materials using hand cranks and hydraulic lifting equipment.
• Prepare and add silicone, non-silicone, and adhesive mixtures as required.
• Review work orders and process specifications before production.
• Set and adjust machine speed, tension, airflow, temperature, and threading.
• Perform quality inspections to identify defects and ensure product specifications are met.
• Enter production and inventory information into the QAD system.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make machine adjustments as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and production specifications.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, and socket sets.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
