Extrusion Assistant Operator

Our client, a manufacturing organization, is seeking an Extrusion Assistant Operator to join their team. As an Extrusion Assistant Operator, you will be part of the Extruding Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to safety, the ability to learn and follow detailed production procedures, and the drive to help produce high-quality blown film efficiently.

Job Title: Extrusion Assistant Operator

Location: Sussex, WI

Pay Range: $20.00/hr + $2.00 Shift Premium 

Shift: B Shift (Monday–Thursday, 6:45 PM–6:45 AM; first week of training on day shift, Monday–Thursday, 6:45 AM–6:45 PM)

What's the Job?

• Assist with operating extruding blown film lines to support efficient production of high-quality film.
• Maintain materials for extruders and properly handle inventories to keep production running smoothly.
• Independently operate one extrusion line as you build proficiency in the role.
• Use forklift experience to move rolls after they are produced, supporting safe and timely material flow.
• Lift up to 50 lbs as required to support production and material handling tasks.

What's Needed?

• Forklift experience to move rolls after production.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to complete the first week of training on day shift (Monday–Thursday, 6:45 AM–6:45 PM) before transitioning to B Shift.
• Comfort working Monday through Thursday with a three-day weekend each week.
• Ability to follow production procedures and maintain quality standards while supporting line efficiency.
