Our client, manufacturing is seeking a Heat Treat Operator I to join their team. As a Heat Treat Operator I, you will be part of the production team supporting heat treating operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a hands-on mindset, and the drive to learn and follow detailed work instructions which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Heat Treat Operator I
Location: 900 Watson Center Road, Carson, CA 90745
Pay Range: $22
Shift: 2nd Shift (Mon-Fri 2pm-11:30pm)
What's the Job?
- Under guidance, batch loads for optimum furnace productivity and prepare loads for proper heat distribution.
- Set thermal couple parameters, place work pieces into heating furnaces for specified periods, and unload furnaces.
- Support heat treat and process furnace accuracy and uniformity surveys to help ensure consistent results.
- Perform hardness testing using calibrated hardness testing equipment and interpret hardness ratings using measuring tools and standards.
- Maintain a safe, organized workstation and follow all company procedures, safety practices, and work instructions.
What's Needed?
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 1 to 3 years of relative manufacturing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and be comfortable with a physically demanding role that includes standing for long periods.
- Ability to work in hot heat environments (over 100 degrees) and follow additional break procedures provided.
- Must be certified to operate a forklift to approved O.S.H.A. standards.
