Our client, a leading electronics manufacturing organization, is seeking a SMT Operator to join their team. As a SMT Operator, you will be part of the Production Department supporting the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) line. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: SMT Operator

Location: Fremont, CA

Pay Range: $21 - $22 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift Monday - Friday

What's the Job?

  • Utilize SMT machines to place surface mount parts and solder reflow devices onto printed circuit boards.
  • Set up all equipment on the SMT line, including screen printers, pick and place machines, and reflow ovens.
  • Adhere to ESD requirements and handle moisture-sensitive devices according to component MSL guidelines.
  • Verify correct part numbers and initiate proper programs for SMT equipment, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on SMT equipment and support quality management systems compliance.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 6-12 months of previous electronic manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing systems (OCuity) and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and component identification (IPC-DVE-64C).
  • Good eyesight, hand and finger dexterity, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
