Machine Operator 2nd Shift

Our client, a manufacturing industry leader, is seeking a Machine Operator 2nd Shift to join their team. As a Machine Operator 2nd Shift, you will be part of the production department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, safety consciousness, and effective communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machine Operator 2nd Shift

Location: Orange, VA

Pay Range: $19

Shift: 2nd Shift (3pm - 11pm, Monday - Friday)

What's the Job?

• Operate conventional and CNC production machines such as winders, milling machines, drill presses, broaches, lathes, saws, grinders, welders, etc.
• Sand, deburr, and perform other finishing tasks to ensure quality standards are met.
• Understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements, and machining techniques.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and improve processes.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Familiarity with a variety of CNC machines and controls.
• Solid understanding of CNC programming and machining techniques.
• Ability to make sound decisions and prioritize safety and quality.
