Machinist

Our client is seeking a Machinist to join their team. As a Machinist, you will be part of the production team supporting the fabrication of tubes, rods, and components used in hydraulic cylinders. The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to safety, the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, and a detail-focused mindset that supports quality and continuous improvement.

Job Title: Machinist

Location: Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: $24-$26

Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday, 4PM-2:30AM

What's the Job?

• Operate a CNC machine to fabricate tubes, rods, and components
• Operate manual machines for fabrication as needed
• Read mechanical drawings for components, tubes, and rods, and make required calculations
• Use quality control equipment such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers to verify work
• Follow safety and security policies and procedures, report unsafe conditions, and maintain a clean work environment while adhering to Five “S” standards

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in a production environment (preferred)
• Programming experience (preferred)
• Ability to apply basic mathematical principles including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and fractions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, perform repetitive motion work, and work overtime and weekends based on business needs
