Machinist

Our client, in Grand Island,  a leading manufacturing and pipe fabrication company, is seeking a Machinist to join their team. As a Machinist, you will be part of the Production Department supporting Operations and Manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and leadership skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machinist
Location: Grand Island
Pay Range: 23.00/hr DOE

What's the Job?

• Independently operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC and manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently.
• Set up machines for production requirements and perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and manufacturing documents to produce parts to quality standards.
• Mentor and train machine operators while assisting supervisors with daily production workflow and quality initiatives.
• Monitor production processes, maintain accurate documentation, and report all safety and quality concerns.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 5+ years of machine operating experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to program CNC machines from drawings and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, thread dimensions, and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work overtime or alternative shifts as needed.
