Machinist 1st Class (1st Shift)

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the golf industry, is seeking a First Class Machinist to join their team. As a First Class Machinist, you will be part of the Engineering Technology department supporting production by fabricating parts and tooling for high-performance manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: First Class Machinist
Location: New Bedford, MA
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
Pay Range: Competitive – based on experience

What’s the Job?

• Set up and operate manual machine tools such as lathes, Bridgeports, grinders, milling machines, saws, and drills

• Fabricate parts and tooling cups based on specifications

• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using precision instruments

• Monitor and adjust machines during operation

• Inspect finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications

What’s Needed?

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the machinist trade

• Vocational school graduate in Machine Shop or Machine Tool Technology (or equivalent)

• Strong blueprint reading and math skills

• Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools

• Good communication and problem-solving skills
