Material Handler

Our client, [Industry Descriptor] is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the Warehouse Operations team supporting daily shipping, receiving, and inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment—skills that will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Charleston, SC

Pay Range: $22

Shift: 6am - 2:30pm

What's the Job?

• Receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Move items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated locations as directed.
• Assist shipping and receiving by unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing to sales associates for processing.
• Review work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins by predetermined sequence (such as size, type, style, or product code), and record quantities using the appropriate computer program.

What's Needed?

• Forklift Operation experience.
• Ability to use an RF scanner and support inventory and distribution processes.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to assist with counting physical inventory and weighing/counting items for distribution within plant standards.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures, wear proper safety equipment, and maintain a safe, organized warehouse/work area.
