Our client, a leading industrial manufacturing organization, is seeking a Material Handler I to join their team in Imperial, PA. In this role, you'll support production operations through material handling, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and movement of materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious, and motivated to contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Title: Material Handler I

Location: Imperial, PA

Pay Range: $19.96

Shift: 7am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday

What's the Job?

  • Verify and maintain accurate records for incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment and entering shipment details into the ERP system.
  • Compare identifying information and counts, and weigh or measure items to ensure accuracy against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and related documentation.
  • Determine shipment methods using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates; make carrier arrangements when needed.
  • Affix shipping labels, assemble containers (wooden or cardboard), insert protective materials, and secure shipments using strapping and stenciling equipment.
  • Unpack and inspect incoming shipments, reject damaged goods, record shortages, and coordinate with shippers to resolve issues; support inventory counts and reconciliation.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or GED; prior production and inventory control experience is helpful.
  • Forklift certification is desirable; crane certification is desirable.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP knowledge is a plus).
  • Ability to calculate surface area, volumes, weights, and dimensions of packaged equipment or components.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and organize work independently while following established policies and procedures.
