Riverside, CA is calling—and I’m ready to step into an entry-level Press Operator role where I can learn the fundamentals of Reel room Operations and grow into confident, safety-first press performance. In this position, I’ll support press runs by understanding runsheets, identifying and preparing rolls, and helping keep the press area organized and ready for production.
Job Title: Press Operator
Location: Riverside, CA
Pay Range: $18.00 per hour
Shift: Rotating Schedule (Changes Every 3 Months)
Employees rotate through a variety of shifts every three months, including day, evening, and weekend schedules. Typical shift hours range between 8:30 AM and 2:30 AM. Flexibility to work different schedules is required.
What's the Job?
- Analyze imposition run sheets to determine required roll sizes and prepare rolls for press runs across multiple concurrent jobs on my assigned shift.
- Inspect rolls thoroughly, identify any damage, and prepare rolls for use by applying double-sided tape and constructing Running Paster Patterns.
- Learn and operate reel equipment through hands-on training and consistent practice to support smooth, accurate production.
- Follow safety procedures at all times while maintaining a clean, organized work area, including sweeping, mopping, and managing oil and debris.
- Support press setup and cleanup, troubleshoot web failures by identifying root causes of breaks and unit malfunctions, and communicate issues clearly to the team and management.
What's Needed?
- Willingness to work the night shift, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, reach, and kneel repeatedly during an 8-hour shift.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues.
- Ability to read and understand markups for page location and color positions on all runs.
- High school diploma or GED, plus the vision abilities needed for close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
