Our client, a leader in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to join their team. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be an essential part of the Quality Assurance department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Location: Owatonna, MN
Pay Range: $18.50-$22.50/hour depending on expeirence
Shift: 2nd shift M-Th 4pm-2:30pm
Type: Temporary Project Starting from 7/20-8/7
What's the Job?
- Perform laboratory testing and quality control checks to support production activities throughout the plant.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a hazard-free work environment.
- Conduct environmental monitoring, swabbing/testing, and routine & non-routine laboratory testing.
- Verify sanitation processes and facilitate compliance with foreign material programs.
- Review and disposition raw materials, enter QC data, and maintain manual records and logs.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
- Strong communication skills to provide quality updates and instructions to production staff.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, read and write effectively, and accurately record data.
