General Laborer

Our client, a wood distribution company, is seeking a General Laborer to join their team. As a General Laborer, you will be part of the warehouse and yard operations supporting daily production goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and the drive to stay consistent and dependable throughout long shifts.

Job Title: General Laborer

Location: Athens, AL

Pay Range: $16.00/hour

Shift: 10-12 hour shifts (Start Time: 6:00 AM)

What's the Job?

• Stack and organize lumber by size and type to keep materials ready for production.
• Load, unload, and move wood products as directed to support smooth workflow.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist with general warehouse and yard duties as needed to keep operations moving.
• Work efficiently as part of a team to meet production goals.

What's Needed?

• Ability to perform repetitive lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Comfort working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record.
• Previous warehouse, lumber yard, construction, or general labor experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
