Our client, a warehouse and distribution environment, is seeking a General Warehouse to join their team. As a General Warehouse, you will be part of the Operations department supporting day-to-day material movement and loading activities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, clear communication, and the ability to follow safety-focused procedures—skills that will help you succeed in a fast-paced facility.
Job Title: General Warehouse
Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
Pay Range: $20
Shift: 1st shift, 7 am-3pm
What's the Job?
- Move palletized material using Material Handling Equipment (MHE), such as a forklift or electric pallet jack
- Load trucks using MHE while following established warehouse procedures
- Support warehouse/distribution operations by handling materials efficiently and safely
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds as required for warehouse tasks
- Maintain accurate, clear communication and basic documentation through good reading, writing, and communication skills
What's Needed?
- Ability to operate a pallet jack and/or forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Comfort lifting up to 50 pounds to complete assigned tasks
- Good reading, writing, and communication skills to understand instructions and communicate with the team
- Familiarity with safe material handling practices and warehouse workflows
- Willingness to work the 1st shift schedule (7 am-3pm)
