Logistics Specialist

Our client, a leading organization in logistics and supply chain management, is seeking a dedicated Logistics Specialist to join their team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be an integral part of the Logistics Department supporting operational excellence and efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Logistics Specialist

Location: Watertown, NY

Pay Range: $20-$22

Shift: 7am-4pm

What's the Job?

• Solve a range of straightforward problems related to logistics and analyze logistics patterns to implement effective shipping strategies based on standard procedures and protocols.
• Prepare documentation for all shipment forms and modes of freight, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and shipping companies to resolve any logistical issues promptly.
• Assist with SAP WM cockpit, cycle counting, and other warehouse transactions as needed.
• Prepare daily workload plans for warehouse associates and distribute tasks efficiently to support smooth warehouse operations.

What's Needed?

• Associate Degree in Business or Materials Management.
• 2 – 5 Years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management.
• Proficiency with SAP and related logistics software.
• Knowledge of NAFTA and FTA documentation, including certificates of origin and trade data updates.
• Ability to comply with quality, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
