Our client, a leading manufacturing in the auto industry is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be an essential part of the Assembly Department supporting production and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have machine operation skills, assembly skills, and inspection, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Altavista, VA
Pay Range:$12.77 an hour
Shift: 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Train on 1st move to 2nd shift Monday through Saturday
What's the Job?
- Operate complex computer-controlled, automated assembly equipment to meet quality and production goals.
- Start up and verify the operation of assembly machines, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Manage inventory of all components required for assembly, maintaining accurate records.
- Collect and analyze SPC data regularly, responding appropriately to critical data points such as machine faults.
- Perform daily and weekly maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in machine operation, inspection, or industrial assembly.
- Familiarity with computer-controlled assembly equipment, PLC, pneumatics, and mechanical alignment.
- Ability to interpret SPC data and demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills.
- Physical mobility to operate large machinery, lift up to 35 lbs, and maneuver heavier weights with assistance.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
