Machine Operator

Our client, manufacturing is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be part of the production team supporting daily manufacturing output. The ideal candidate will have strong time management, clear communication, and a commitment to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: Charleston, SC

Pay Range: 1st Shift $22; 2nd Shift $23

Shift: 6am-2:30-11pm or 2:30-11pm

What's the Job?

• Program, set up, and operate a CNC Plate Plasma Machine to support daily production output
• Inspect production parts using measurement instruments to verify requirements are met
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety expectations in a production environment
• Deburr output materials from the plate plasma machine to prepare parts for next steps
• Work with Quality, Environmental, and H&S employees to help maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards

What's Needed?

• 2 years minimum experience in programming and setup
• Ability to read and interpret 2D prints, 3D models, and work instructions
• Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and CAT40 tooling setup
• Ability to use basic measurement instruments to verify components meet requirements
• Verbal communication skills and excellent time management
