Our client is seeking a Soldering Technician to join their team. As a Soldering Technician, you will be part of the Assembly department supporting the assembly process. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to read and follow technical instructions, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Soldering Technician

Location: Irwin, PA

Pay Range: $19.50/hr

Shift: 6am to 3pm Monday to Thursday and 4hr day on Friday

What's the Job?

  • Perform manual assembly, testing, and precision hand-soldering of electrical and mechanical components in a manufacturing or repair environment.
  • Execute fine or standard hand-soldering for through-hole and surface-mount/SMT applications on electromechanical parts, switch assemblies, or wiring harnesses.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering orders, wiring diagrams, and electronic schematics from system to component level.
  • Inspect assemblies for proper cosmetics, dimensional tolerances, and test parameters; identify and rework defects based on test data.
  • Support lean manufacturing by participating in 5S, safety protocols, and continuous productivity improvements.

What's Needed?

  • Experience performing hand-soldering on electromechanical components, including through-hole and/or surface-mount/SMT work.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electronic schematics.
  • Strong quality mindset with the ability to inspect assemblies and rework defects based on test results.
  • Comfort working in a manufacturing or repair setting while following safety and lean processes (including 5S).
  • May require division-specific certifications, such as specialized operator or formal soldering certification (e.g., IPC standards).
