Test Technician 2nd shift

Our client, Industrial is seeking a Test Technician 2nd shift to join their team. As a Test Technician 2nd shift, you will be part of the Production/Test area supporting the Mainframe testing team. The ideal candidate will have a logical, detail-focused mindset, strong computer/IT comfort, and the drive to troubleshoot and get systems back to working condition.

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY

Pay Range: $22

Shift: 2nd shift

What's the Job?

• Test completed mainframes after assembly to confirm they meet required operating results.
• Hook up the mainframe to the power source and connect it to test PCs and monitoring equipment.
• Monitor test results and document outcomes to support quality and production goals.
• If a test fails, troubleshoot and repair as needed (for example: change cable, box, node, or other components) to restore operation.
• Work with a logical, methodical approach to identify issues and drive systems to successful test completion.

What's Needed?

• Very good computer skills and comfort working with test PC systems.
• Computer / IT background or schooling, or hands-on experience in a technical environment.
• 2-year degree or above in Technical/computer, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Logical mind and strong attention to detail when monitoring test results.
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and component-level adjustments to get equipment running after a failed test.
