Our client, a leader in gas turbine and rotating equipment manufacturing, is seeking a USA|Fitter/Welder 1 to join their team. As a USA|Fitter/Welder 1, you will be part of the assembly and maintenance department supporting gas turbine overhaul projects. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Perform fitting, tacking, and welding of components according to detailed drawings and welding standards.
• Inspect, repair, replace, and maintain mechanical components on gas turbines and compressor packages.
• Work with engineering and quality control teams to ensure assembly accuracy and quality.
• Operate cutting rigs, welding machinery, and measuring tools safely and efficiently.
• Interpret complex assembly instructions, blueprints, and specifications to meet production goals.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma, GED, or 10+ years of relevant stainless steel pipe welding experience; technical certificates and work experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in assembly of rotating equipment manufacturing, with welding and cutting tools expertise.
• Experience with gas turbine mechanical work and overhaul preferred.
• Knowledge of Siemens Energy Turbomachinery assembly, including development and interpretation of technical instructions, is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately.

¿Qué implica el trabajo?

• Realizar el ajuste, la soldadura y el ensamblaje de componentes según planos detallados y estándares de soldadura.
• Inspeccionar, reparar, reemplazar y mantener componentes mecánicos en turbinas de gas y paquetes de compresores.
• Trabajar con los equipos de ingeniería y control de calidad para garantizar precisión y calidad en el ensamblaje.
• Operar equipos de corte, maquinaria de soldadura y herramientas de medición de forma segura y eficiente.
• Interpretar instrucciones complejas, planos y especificaciones para cumplir con los objetivos de producción.

¿Qué se necesita?

• Diploma de secundaria, GED o más de 10 años de experiencia relevante en soldadura de tuberías de acero inoxidable; certificados técnicos y experiencia laboral pueden ser considerados.
• Más de 5 años de experiencia en ensamblaje de equipos rotativos, con conocimientos en soldadura y herramientas de corte.
• Experiencia en trabajos mecánicos y revisión de turbinas de gas preferida.
• Conocimiento en ensamblaje de turbinas Siemens Energy, incluyendo desarrollo e interpretación de instrucciones técnicas, es una ventaja.
• Capacidad para leer e interpretar planos, esquemas y diagramas con precisión.
