Mixer Operator (Veggie) - Manteno, IL

Our client, a leading food production company, is seeking a Veggie Mixer Operator to join their team. As a Mixer Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting the vegetable processing team. 
 

Job Title: Veggie Mixer Operator

Location: Manteno, IL

Pay Range: $20 per/hr

Shift: 1st

What's the Job?

• Measure and mix vegetable ingredients according to batch recipes and production schedules.
• Operate and monitor mixing equipment to ensure consistent product quality.
• Adjust ingredient proportions as necessary to meet quality specifications.
• Set up, operate, and clean mixing equipment following company procedures.
• Inspect vegetable ingredients for freshness, quality, and compliance with specifications before mixing.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical equipment preferred.

• Experience:

• Prior experience in food manufacturing or mixing roles is preferred but not required.

• Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes accurately.
• Basic math skills to measure and scale ingredients.
• Attention to detail to ensure consistent product quality.

• Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, lift, and move for extended periods in a fast-paced production environment.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and handling repetitive tasks.
• Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures, including cold storage.

• Knowledge:

• Understanding of GMPs and food safety protocols is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic mixing equipment and processes is a plus.
