Welder

Our client, in Alma, MI is seeking a Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be part of the fabrication process supporting a multifunctional team environment. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and clear verbal and written communication, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Welder

Location: ALMA, MI

Pay Range: $22.10

Shift: 6 am - 2:30 pm
overtime can be scheduled until 4:30 pm and include Saturdays

What's the Job?

• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while working in the welding area
• Follow pre-established installation and quality methods, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent work
• Read order-specific job travelers and/or engineered drawings to produce each order to specifications
• Use MIG and TIG welding techniques and various hand tools to fabricate tubes, wall frames, and/or furniture frames using aluminum materials (including anodized aluminum)
• Complete job duties within given time constraints, cross-train between different jobs, and clean and maintain the work area

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous MIG and TIG welding experience (required)
• Attention to detail and the ability to notice errors and/or defects through strong visual judgment
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multifunctional team-oriented work environment and work variable hours with short notice (up to 50+ hrs. per week)
