Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and production, is seeking a Manufacturing Safety Manager to join their team. As a Manufacturing Safety Manager, you will be part of the safety and compliance department supporting multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety management, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Manufacturing Safety Manager

Location: Ronkonkoma, NY

Pay Range: $50.48 - $52.88/hr 

Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

  • Flexibility to start as early as 6:00 AM and adjust hours as needed to support all three shifts.
  • Expected to spend time on both 1st and 3rd shifts at least once or twice per week

Duration: 4-month assignment to cover a leave of absence (LOA), with the possibility of an extension.

What's the Job?

  • Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and conduct regular safety observations.
  • Investigate and report incidents as needed to ensure safety compliance.
  • Provide support and coverage across all shifts, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift operations.
  • Prepare and present monthly safety reports to management.
  • Serve as a strong leader and communicator, promoting a culture of safety and health throughout the facility.

What's Needed?

  • OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Experience supporting safety and compliance activities across multiple buildings.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to enforce safety policies effectively.
