Our client, R&D and materials testing organization is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team. As a Lab Technician, you will be part of the Materials Test Laboratory supporting R&D and customer project work. The ideal candidate will have strong teamwork and communication, basic computer skills with spreadsheets, and the technical curiosity to learn and apply lab testing methods—aligning successfully in a safety-first, innovation-driven environment.

Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Henrico, VA

Pay Range: $20

Shift: 8am-4pm or 7am - 3pm

What's the Job?

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative lab tests to support materials science and project needs
  • Use spreadsheets to compile, analyze, and organize testing data accurately
  • Share findings with project requesters and communicate results clearly
  • Collaborate with team members on larger projects while maintaining strong documentation habits
  • Safely operate and calibrate lab equipment under supervision, following established procedures

What's Needed?

  • High School diploma required; Associate degree or technical training preferred
  • 0-2+ years of experience in lab testing or manufacturing (lab testing experience is a plus)
  • Ability to operate and calibrate lab equipment (training provided under direct supervision)
  • Basic computer skills, especially with Excel or spreadsheets
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and report writing skills; able to lift and carry samples up to 50 lbs
