Our client, Distribution and Logistics is seeking a Distribution Order Picker to join their team. As a Distribution Order Picker, you will be part of the DSD team supporting daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, the ability to meet productivity goals, and a commitment to following standard operating procedures which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Distribution Order Picker
Location: Wilton Manors, FL
Pay Range: $17.6
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday through Friday 10:00am -4:30pm)
What's the Job?
- Transport materials and items from the picking area to other designated areas.
- Sort and place materials or items on pallets and/or bakery dollies according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Load and unload bread trays from trucks.
- Pick, stack, label, and distribute products within the warehouse while meeting productivity goals.
- Use RF scanning and voice picking equipment for directed order picking, if applicable, and follow safety, food safety, and hygiene guidelines.
What's Needed?
- High School diploma or GED equivalent; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to follow standard operation procedures and maintain consistent productivity.
- Comfort working in a warehouse environment while adhering to safety and housekeeping expectations.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, and to follow safe lifting practices.
- May be certified to drive a riding pallet jack (as applicable) and must be able to report defective equipment and all job-related injuries/property damage to supervision.
