Our client, manufacturing operations is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the Material Handling team supporting production by supplying lines with raw materials and moving unfinished goods through the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, reliable communication skills, and the drive to meet efficiency and productivity standards which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Rainsville, AL
Pay Range: Will start at $15.00 per hour while training on 1st shift and increase to $17.00 per hour when transitioned to 2nd shift
Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
*Must be available to train on 1st shift initially (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
What's the Job?
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including proper use of required PPE.
- Operate a stand up and LP forklift safely to support daily production flow.
- Supply raw materials where needed in the production process and facilitate movement of product through manufacturing.
- Maintain kit carts where applicable and manage/consolidate inventory in stockroom and other areas as directed.
- Participate in physical inventory activities and maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards.
What's Needed?
- Ability to complete requirements for Forklift Certification.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well with a variety of people in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior forklift operation experience preferred; knowledge of parts and home locations is a plus.
