Our client, Warehouse & Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the Warehouse Operations supporting Shipping & Receiving. The ideal candidate will have strong accountability, reliable attendance, and a quality-first mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Solon, OH

Pay Range: $20/hr

Shift: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

What's the Job?

  • Assemble and fill orders to be shipped to customers or other divisions, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Load and unload common carrier and company vehicles while following safe handling procedures.
  • Assemble customer orders for shipment via UPS/LTL and process required shipment paperwork, including verifying merchandise, applying correct postage tape, and completing BOL information for LTL shipments.
  • Gather assembled orders in carts, verify quantities and descriptions against invoices, and count/write total quantities for shipment documentation.
  • Pack orders into containers and arrange containers on shelves according to truck route; substitute for other warehouse personnel when needed and perform other duties as assigned.

What's Needed?

  • Experience operating forklifts and powered industrial trucks (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, and order picker) and the ability to work safely around warehouse traffic.
  • Warehouse experience of at least 6 months to 1 year, with picking experience focused on quality and accuracy for at least 6 months.
  • Ability to work efficiently to meet KPIs, with strong accountability and reliable attendance.
  • Proficiency using a scanner for a Warehouse Management System (WMS), picking orders, and general put-away after receipt (RF scanner experience preferred).
  • General knowledge of electrical products, ability to perform basic math for accurate task completion, and capability to communicate effectively with coworkers to support customer requirements.
