General Laborer

Our client, an industrial services provider, is seeking a General Laborer to join their team. As a General Laborer, you will be part of the maintenance and cleaning department supporting the production floor and facility operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and adaptability, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: General Laborer

Location: Richmond, VA

Pay Range: $20/hr

Shift: 1st & 2nd shift available

What's the Job?

• Part of the Recycling Program working with metals and woods.
• Gather and empty trash and recycling including pallets, cardboard, metal scrap, etc.
• Operate riding floor scrubbers, vacuums, sweepers, and carpet extractors.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or using hand trucks.

What's Needed?

• Proficiency in various cleaning techniques and procedures, including knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and equipment.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks to ensure high standards.
• Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing, repetitive movements, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors.
• Adherence to safety procedures and ability to work in different environments.
