Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a manufacturing leader in producing essential plastic components used in transportation, food packaging, and industrial packaging, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be an integral part of the maintenance department supporting the production line. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency, which will align successfully in the organization.

Shift: Second

What's the Job?

• Repair chillers, thermolators, resin driers, loader systems, grinders, and tower fans, understanding their operations.
• Repair downstream automation and have some PLS experience.
• Control downtime by effectively troubleshooting and diagnosing problems quickly and accurately.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Work with the tool crib attendant to maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking levels, placing orders, and verifying receipt.

What's Needed?

• Extensive experience (5 years) repairing injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment.
• Ability to work independently with solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic applications.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose problems and determine corrective actions.
• Mechanical ability and a good understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical applications, and blueprints.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from prints and diagrams for hydraulic and electrical systems.
