As a Material Handler, you’ll receive, store, stage, and move raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished parts to help ensure production lines stay supplied. Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Irwin, PA

Pay Range: $19.50/hr

Shift: 6am to 3pm Monday to Thursday and 4hr day on Friday

What's the Job?

  • Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods between receiving, storage areas, and production cells using equipment such as forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, or material tuggers.
  • Support inventory control by completing computer transactions, cycle counts, and data entry to keep stock tracking accurate.
  • Handle shipping and receiving tasks including unloading incoming shipments, inspecting parts, packing and labeling products, and staging items for outbound shipping.
  • Maintain a safe, organized work area by following plant safety guidelines, using safety programs (like Stop & Seek), and keeping storage areas aligned with 5S standards.
  • Perform equipment readiness tasks such as changing batteries/propane tanks as required for material handling equipment.

What's Needed?

  • Physical stamina to stand for long shifts and lift or move heavy parts as needed.
  • Certification or the ability to operate material handling equipment such as sit-down/stand-up forklifts, walkie-riders, and tuggers.
  • Basic computer and math skills to read part numbers, weigh materials on digital scales, and log inventory transactions using a computer or RF scanner.
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain accuracy in inventory records and staging activities.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
