Our client, Heavy Industrial is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join their team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be part of the Warehouse Operations supporting Order Fulfillment and Quality processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment, and hands-on forklift experience which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Location: Portsmouth, VA

Pay Range: $17.85

Shift: 10AM-6:30PM

What's the Job?

  • Operate forklifts to support warehouse movement, packaging, and labeling of customer orders.
  • Use computer systems to process receipts, putaways, picks, and replenishments with a focus on accuracy.
  • Inspect incoming product and verify it against the shipping manifest for correctness.
  • Elevate inventory discrepancies to inventory control or management for resolution.
  • Work effectively with QA organizations to help disposition incoming product.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to perform basic math and read, understand, and make decisions based on written operating procedures.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 45 lbs and stand/crouch for extended periods of time.
  • Reliable transportation to work and availability for occasional overtime.
  • Forklift experience and ability to operate rolling pushcart, electric forklift, and manual pallet jack.
