Winder Operator

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in paper and tube production, is seeking a Winder Operator I to join their team. As a Winder Operator I, you will be part of the production department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Winder Operator I

Location: Greenville, WI

Pay Range: $23

Shift: 3pm-1am Monday-Thursday (Train on 1st)

What's the Job?

• Review job orders to determine appropriate equipment and materials, including mandrel size, belt selection, and paper width requirements.
• Set up and operate winding machines, adjusting angles, tension, and spacing to ensure quality production.
• Prepare glue pots, apply adhesives properly, and splice additional paper as needed for continuous operation.
• Verify outer diameter and core thickness specifications hourly, documenting measurements accurately.
• Operate tube saws, adjusting blades for proper diameter and length, and perform quality checks during operation.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three months of related experience or training preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions and work safely with others.
