Forklift Operator Shipping Receiving

Our client, a logistics and materials handling operation is seeking a Forklift Operator Shipping Receiving to join their team. As a Forklift Operator Shipping Receiving, you will be part of the Shipping & Receiving team supporting daily material flow and accurate order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the confidence to work in a hands-on environment where receiving, put-away, and documentation are completed manually.

Job Title: Forklift Operator Shipping Receiving

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Range: $15.57

Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm (8 hours per shift)

What's the Job?

• Receive materials and record data as instructed using receiving procedures.
• Receive, unload, and process inbound and outbound trailers.
• Verify packing lists against materials received and visually inspect for damaged goods.
• Document material damage, overages, and shortages on packing lists and promptly report discrepancies to a supervisor or manager.
• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks to put away materials, pick orders, wrap and stage for shipment, and support shipping documentation.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 4 years of warehousing and forklift experience.
• Forklift Operation Certification required; must be able to drive both sit-down and stand-up forklifts and present certification with your resume.
• High school diploma; some college with a focus on warehousing/logistics is preferred.
• Experience with cycle counting and strong computer skills, including MS Office programs.
• Ability to load and unload large industrial equipment and communicate clearly in English.

• Maintain a safe and clean shipping and receiving area by observing all safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in EHS suggestions and EHS observations programs.
• Implement and maintain security policy, health, and environment at work.
• Participate in safety training monthly.
• Intervene to identify and correct unsafe acts and recognize safe behavior.
• Identify and report potential environmental impacts and/or hazards.
• Analyze and prevent the consequences of actions before any activity.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, carry, and reach.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, kneel, and crouch.
• Physically demanding role; must be able to lift cartons weighing between 25 lbs to 50 lbs and prepare pallets for shipping without difficulty.
• Must be able to ascend and descend a ladder properly following JCI Ladder Policy.
