General Operator

Ready to bring your reliability, safety mindset, and hands-on energy to a fast-paced production environment? As a General Operator, you’ll support packaging and material handling activities while helping maintain seed quality through careful, instruction-driven work. This is a Monday–Friday first shift role with occasional weekend and extended hours as scheduled—ideal if you’re dependable, comfortable working outdoors and on your feet, and ready to contribute from day one.

Job Title: General Operator

Location: Princeton, IL

Pay Range: $18.75/hour

Shift: 1st and 2nd available

What's the Job?

• Packaging support including bagging and palletizing, and assisting the Packaging Operator/Team Lead with packaging equipment, machines, and tools you are trained to safely operate/use.
• Operate a forklift for picking, pooling, and staging for a small portion of time during packaging operations (not a full-time forklift position).
• Assist in tracking material inventory to support smooth production flow.
• Follow work instructions to maintain safety and seed quality standards.
• Perform general production duties as assigned while maintaining a positive, respectful, and dependable work approach.

What's Needed?

• Ability to work long hours, shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Forklift experience preferred 
• Ability to safely perform duties in a timely manner while maintaining seed quality.
• Exceptional attendance and dependability—reliable presence is essential.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written English; ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds, work indoors/outdoors, and walk on uneven surfaces.

Important Workplace Details

• Cellular phones/mobile devices (including portable music players) are not allowed in working areas during work time; use is restricted to the break area during scheduled lunch and break times.

Equipment/Attire Requirement

• Steel-toe over-the-ankle work boot (worker responsibility).
• Long pants of durable material (jeans preferred).
• Shirt with sleeves (minimum to cover shoulder and torso; no loose clothing).
