Maintenance Technician
Location: Livermore, CA
Pay Rate: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with overtime as needed
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and operation of facility systems and manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment while ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility and manufacturing equipment.
- Assist with the upkeep and operation of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
- Identify equipment issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
- Support facility improvement projects and equipment installations as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, and management teams to ensure facility and equipment reliability.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair experience.
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with boilers, chillers, and related utility systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic chemistry and microbiology laboratory techniques is preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong sense of accountability, responsibility, and ownership of assigned projects and tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical knowledge or experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or related maintenance fields.
- Previous facilities, maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work overtime as required by business needs.
